Good times are had around here laughing at the stupid things people sometimes do with fireworks, but it can be easy to forget that they are more than just moderately painful experiences kids post on YouTube to show how cool they are for being idiots. Stories like this are a good reminder of the tragedies that can happen from irresponsible fireworks use, even simple 1.4G products.

They had engaged in several pranks with fireworks culminating with two Roman candles being shoved underneath Dahlquist's door and fired off, the 10 or so balls of 1,600-degree hot gas blasting into his bedroom. The others had run outside and only after they saw a glow in the upstairs bedroom did they realize something had gone wrong.
