Mutiny!
Yes, everyone has seen this by now, but I'm posting it anyway. Consider it my coverage of the PGI convention, since I haven't mentioned it here at all. I'm not a member, but I'll join eventually, and I'd love to go to the convention one of these days.
Anyway, there are quite a few competition categories, including 1.4G competitions (.pdf of all competition rules here). In the "unlimited" category they do some pretty awesome stuff, and this year was no exception.
The winner was "Big Daddy" with an awesome show using music from Pirates of the Caribbean. They are allowed to take fireworks apart to fire tubes from cakes individually (no other way to get the timing this good) and this show used 360 cues with 400+ ematches in just four and a half minutes.
